Rides a Specialized Tarmac SL8 Pro and anything that has 2 wheels powered by my legs :-)

Favorite Local Trails are, can't pick just one so have to say all of them. And of course all the road rides too.

I consider myself an all over advanced rider that loves to just Ride. Be it road or mountains.

My favorite food is Ice Cream Cake. Just ask anyone.

My favorite ride so far in life has been Mohab/Sadonna it was an epic experience. But all my rides are special to me for one reason or another. And sharing the photo's with my wife is a bonus. After all, the wives if they don't ride are the season widows of Bike Season.

My goal as a rider is to have fun and enjoy my time on my bike.

This addiction started at 4 years old and has only grown with each adventure.

Lynda

Rides a Liv Intrigue Advanced LT 2

Favorite local trails are Screefer and Entropy at Pidherny, and Cyclone at Otway.

I consider myself an all mountain rider; I love cleaning sketchy technical downhill and doing drops, but I also love a good endurance pedal.

My favorite food was mini-donuts, but now that I am celiac, I can only imagine the taste.  I have a weakness for peanut butter, and I love breakfast for dinner (I eat eggs daily)!

I have had so many amazing biking experiences it is hard to pinpoint a favorite.  I would have to say the most rewarding one was when the kids were just 5 and 2 and we booked them into daycare in Rossland and Revelstoke so we could ride The 7 Summits and Frisby Ridge.  Our summer holidays have always revolved around mountain biking, exploring the many trails in BC.  The past 3 years have been taking our 14 year old daughter to the BC Cup Downhill races.  In the 20 years of travelling to ride, we still have SO MANY places in BC we have not yet explored.  Despite being so close to Kimberly on our BC Cup Race circuit, we have yet to get there; it is next on our list.  This province is truly amazing g for riding; I don’t feel the need to leave.

My goal as a rider is to “maintain” my current fitness and skill level as I get older.  I have found it harder to “keep up” as I approach my 50’s; I have learned I need to push a little out of my cardiovascular comfort zone, more so than I used to, in order to build my fitness.  I also hope to keep doing the current drops and features each year, despite them getting a little harder mentally.

I started riding trails when I moved here in 1997 on a rigid Giant I brought here from Winnipeg.  I love how the sport and bikes have evolved and I always love seeing more women, youth and newbies on the trails.  I started coaching in 2015 to get more people active and loving the sport.

Giant Reign Advanced 1

Favorite local trail - Kitchen sink.

I am an all around rider but enjoy DH trails and getting Air time the most.

At an early age I was an elite BMX racer doing the Canadian National series and then we moved to Mackenzie, BC where there was no BMX racing and thats when I switched to Mnt biking and have never looked back.

Favorite Food - Spaghetti & Meat sauce.

Favorite experience- The Seven Summits trail in Roseland, BC

Favorite Band - Tragically Hip

My goal - To help my kids grow in the sport and to Promote the Sport as a family affair and have as much fun as possible doing so.

When not on the trails I can be found playing hockey, Quading, Messing around with RC trucks, Gardening, woodworking & Bee keeping.

Chase

Giant Trance X 1

My favorite local trail is New England Clam Chowder.

I like downhill and freeriding, and don’t enjoy pedaling so much, but often times I don’t have a choice.  I prefer the chair lift bike parks on our annual family vacations and shuttling Pidherny (and now Tabor).  At 5 years old, I had already hit up all the chair lift bike parks in BC at time, on a 16” bike which was almost denied at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort.  My dad had to go do a lap on an easy run and return to advise them that he felt I had the skill to ride.

My favorite food is Poutine.

My favorite biking experience was at the 2022 Valemount Fallfest.  We won so many prizes that weekend including a HOVER BOARD in the kid’s event!

My goal as a rider this year is to improve on jumps and “techy stuff”.

When not biking, I like to play hockey, downhill ski and snowboard.  I also like challenging myself with rubiks cubes, I like to draw graffiti, and enjoy RC’ing car with my dad.

Jenna

Specialized Stumpjumper EVO comp, and specialized demo race.

Favorite local trail: my favorite PG trail would have to be “the 3 D’s” (dixie-dimeslot-ditchpig) as well as thrash n’ crash.

Riding discipline: I am an all-mountain rider, but my favorite would have to be some steep technical DH, as well as flowy trails with lots of drops and jumps. I race DH at the Canada cup level, this year as a U17 elite.

Favorite food: I love lasagna! Watermelon and mini eggs are also my favorite snacks

Best biking experience: I would have to say summer 2023. It was my second year racing, and I got to travel to so many amazing bike parks to race over the summer, and I met so many rad people that I got to ride with. The race courses were really challenging, 3 of them completely new to me, and because of that my riding improved so much.

2024 Riding goals: with this being my first year racing elite, I just want to focus on being a more confident and aggressive rider. I want to work on my overall bike handling skills and “trusting the bike” more, as well as not letting my mind get in the way, and believing in myself that I DO have the skill and that I know what I am doing.

More about me: My name is Jenna, and I am 14 years old. Last year I competed in the BC cup series and was 3rd overall for the U15 women's category and am the 2023 high school provincial champion in enduro. I learned to ride a pedal bike at 3 years old, and I BMX raced from age 2-7. Once I turned 7 is when my love for trail riding really began, so that is when I quit BMX as I enjoyed mountain biking so much better. Around 8 or 9 years old is when I really fell in love with DH. I loved riding at the big bike parks and places like Valemount and Burns Lake. It was then that I decided I wanted to race DH. When I was 12, summer 2022, I did my first BC cup races. My first race at Fernie, I placed 4th in the U15 category. Right after that we headed to panorama. On race day, I had a bad crash which resulted in me breaking a bone in my shoulder. That was a hard setback, as I couldn't ride for the rest of the summer. That is one of the reasons my 2023 race season was so special, it was a very important personal comeback for me to get back up and race again. I am so excited to be riding with Evolve this year, I can't wait to see what this summer brings!

Gino

Hello fellow riders – my name is Gino Nava.  While born in Vancouver, since 2008 I’ve made
Prince George my home and a place to develop roots.  I’m married and have three daughters.
I’m a business owner on two fronts: finance and real estate.  On any given day, you’ll find me in
either a suit or construction clothes…or both.

I’m obsessed with cycling on all levels.  I mountain bike, road ride, and in the winter fat bike; I
ride all year round.  My bikes have become my lifestyle and as such my family and I plan all our
trips around biking destinations.  I enjoy learning what other clubs are doing so I can bring those
practices back home to further our club.  When I’m not doing club duties like trail maintenance
or grooming, I’m on the trials keeping rubber side down.

The Evolve Sport & Cycle Truck

Watch for the Evolve Sport & Cycle “Express-O” at Otway on weekends this summer.  After an enjoyable ride on the trails, sit back a relax with a coffee or a snack with friends.  All items from the truck are by donation only and will go to the trail maintenance fund to help maintain the trails at Otway.

Forgot your gloves or need a new biking jersey? No problem, the trailer will have some items that will enhance your riding experience.

Broke a chain or need a quick tune-up? No problem, the trailer is able to provide minor bike services and bike parts.  (Please note, we might not be able to have a bike technician onsite at all times)
